How To Create A Recovery Disk

Many computer users never back up their files or create a recovery disk. You can believe in your own luck but if you’re not lucky you will get a lot of problems, and it’s not very fun to lose personal pictures, videos and documents. And it’s also unnecessary to lose it, because you can prevent it from happening very easily. There are many things that can go wrong when you use your computer, and to just wait and hope for the best can in the end become very irritating and also expensive.

Create A Recovery Disk In Windows 7!

To create a recover disk in Windows, you need an empty DVD-r or DVD+r disc. Go to the control panel and click on the System and Security link, then click on the Backup and Restore link. Click “Create a system repair disc” in the left menu. Insert your DVD disc and click on the Create disc button. Just follow the instructions on the screen and you will have a recovery disk. This is so easy to do and will be a great help if the Windows system get’s damaged or inaccessible.

If you have a Windows disc, you can use it to fix many problems but if you haven’t set any restore points, you might not be able to fix the problem. Many programs automatically create a restore point when you install it, but I would recommend you to create a restore point anyway, to stay on the safe side.

Click on the “Create” button and give your restore point a useful name and hit the “Create” button again. If you for any reason have lost your recovery disc or forgot to create one, you can try to get a recovery disk from, they used to provide a downloadable copy for free, but Microsoft didn’t like that so now you have to pay a fee between $10 – $30 depending on which version you need. It might be a bit expensive but if you have a system crash and compare it to what it cost to fix it at computer repair service, I think the price is fair if you can’t find a recovery disk anywhere else.

If you have a friend that got the same Windows version as you, and a Windows disc available, then you can use it of course. To prevent extra costs is easy if you just follow the steps above. Don’t wait for problems to occur, if you haven’t created a recovery disk yet, do it today and you could prevent a bad experience tomorrow or at least keep your mind at ease.
