There are free PC tools available across the whole internet, but many free tools are crap and don’t fix the problem or doesn’t work like they promises. Sometime free software developers put in adware in their software. An adware is sort of an addon to a software program and show pop up ads. It cost money to develop softwares and to cover the cost, free software developers use this method. If you don’t like to get pop up ads on your screen, you might have to consider an upgrade because in reality nothing is totally free in this world.
A PC tool is most of the time a tool that helps people to improve their computer. It could be a registry cleaner, a driver updater, a Spyware remover or an antivirus program. It’s great to find free PC tools that can help us to fix small computer problems without having to pay a lot of money. Some free tools are as good as any premium tool and I will list a couple of free tools below that I use, and I use them because it’s hard to tell if it’s a free or a paid tool.
Free PC Tools:
CCleaner is a computer cleaning and optimizing software. It scans your system and removes unused files from your system, it clears space that you can use for other files and it also make your computer to run faster. CCleaner is also a registry cleaner and it runs fast. There’s no adware in the software and it’s totally free to download. If you have normal speed problems, CCleaner is a great helper. For more severe registry errors, you might need a more powerful cleaner with more features. Still CCleaner is a great free PC tool.
Trustwave secure browsing is a secure browser plugin and works with Firefox, Google Chrome and Explorer. It works in real-time and alert you if something suspicious happens when you browse the internet. Trustwave secure browsing protects your computer from malware and Spyware attacks while you use search engines, check your email and visit websites. It’s a free tool and all you have to do is to download it and start using it.
Slimdrivers is a free driver tool and it helps you to update your drivers so that your software and hardware devices works properly. Slimdrivers scans your system for outdated and damaged driver and uses cloud technology to automatically update them. If you have problems with USB devices, a sound card, an external hard drive or other hardware, then Slimdrivers is a perfect little tool that can help you out. And it’s free.
Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is a free malware scanner that helps you to prevent malware infections and other malicious software threats. It’s got a super fast flash scanner and it automatically updates itself and uses scheduled scanning to always be able to stop new attackers. They got a pro version but the free version works great.
My favorite free antivirus program is Avira Free Antivirus. It’s a great tool that is perfect for the average computer user and it gives you enough protection for you to stay safe. Avira is as good as or even better than many premium antivirus programs. You don’t have to pay a lot of money to protect or improve your computer. Use free tools as much as you can.
